Our Story

havvic is a family-run business operating out of Christchurch, a short drive from some of Dorset's finest beaches and rugged coastline.

Late one afternoon in July 2015, after lunch with a few colleagues onboard a boat, a boat ironically named "just add water" unexpectedly submerged itself off the Isle of Wight coastline, with the four of us onboard needing to be rescued miles offshore by the RNLI Coastguard.

Upon being released by the Paramedics, the RNLI Lifeboat crew were kind enough to loan us the previous year’s Dry Suits (pictured in yellow below) for us to change into to stay warm and dry on our journey home. It was the same two-piece dry suit that set-in motion an idea for a Changing Robe that is comfortable on your skin, quick drying and offers ultimate protection from the wind, rain and ultimately the cold and needs to perform at the highest possible standard.

We set out testing many fabrics to create a Premium Changing Robe. We tested durable and waterproof nylon outer fabrics coupled with a 400gsm luxurious sherpa fleece lining that wicks moisture away from your skin, leaving you warm, dry, and comfortable whilst at the same time protecting you from natures elements and ultimately the cold.

We are proud to offer you the havvic Changing Robe, the ultimate in comfort and protection, a must have accessory for all water sports enthusiasts and the ultimate in support of your outdoor and active lifestyle.

At havvic, we are so proud of our products, that we offer an industry leading 18-month performance guarantee. At havvic we will repair, refund, or replace, products due to defects in materials and/or workmanship within 18 months of your purchase.

The havvic Changing Robe is an essential piece of kit and the perfect accessory for Water Skiers, Wakeboarders, Surfers, Wild Water Swimmers, Stand Up Paddleboarders, Dog Walkers, while Camping or during Cold Conditions.

We, at havvic, are forever grateful to the Men and Women of the RNLI and the NHS Paramedics who responded to our call that Saturday afternoon, rescuing us from the Ocean and Cold Water.
